The EPR rescue animals needing help from multiple sources including the RSPCA, sanctuaries, zoos, and private owners struggling to cope. Currently, they provide a home to over 300 animals including monkeys, meerkats, raccoons, wolves, lynx, owls, foxes, birds, deer, otters, skunk, reptiles, snakes, and an alligator!

Their mission is to provide a safe haven for wild and exotic animals and work towards their rehabilitation and release back into the wild, if and where possible.

The centre is owned by its original founder, Pam, who created the refuge with her late husband in 1984. For more than 40 years, she has dedicated her life, time, land and income to helping animals in need. Now in her 70’s, Pam runs the refuge with the help of just a single full-time employee / site manager, and an army of volunteers ranging from college and university students gaining work experience to retired pensioners. The team is dedicated to providing a safe place for the animals to live, whilst providing open days and education for school trips. They are a very deserving charity, so please take a look at their website (by clicking anywhere on this post).
