We were very lucky to be visited by a Muntjac deer and her baby today.

(NB: Muntjac /ˈmʌntdʒak/ - a small SE Asian deer, the male of which has tusks, small antlers, and a doglike bark)

They were first seen around the small children’s climbing frame we have - the fawn was seemingly playing near the slide, with it’s mother watching on vigilantly.

The dappled fawn was a lovely sight to see. A reminder that even the simplest and most innocent every day things can bring us special moments to cherish. We just need to find the space to appreciate them.

We love seeing deer on our property - it’s a privilege and honour to be able to share our small piece of the world with beautiful wildlife.
